End of a Journey

Two months ago, it was announced that Club Penguin will be shutting down on March 29. That day has come and just a few hours ago the team pulled the plug supporting our favorite multiplayer virtual world game.

Fosters1537 and I might have had quit updating this blog long before the game shut down but we’ve updated this blog with all the cheats and news since Club Penguin’s early days in Summer 2007. We have since reported when Rockhopper first decked on shore, Jetpack Adventure’s launch, the rise and fall of EPF, a concept art of Aquagrabber before its initial launch, accurately predicting the presence of a polar bear on the island and not to forget all the new pins, puffles, hidden items in catalogues, coin codes, games, rooms, merch, console games, songs, missions, giveaways, parties and many more.

PenguinVille was never widely popular but it had an important presence within the Club Penguin community. It was the first to host Easter Egg hunts, translations to different languages, PowerPoint games, YouTube walkthrough of Elite Penguin Force Nintendo DS game, and Club Penguin’s very own search engine as featured by popular blogs like Club Penguin Memories. We also worked hard together through the years to provide guides (or ‘cheats’ as we might have called them 🙂 ) like game tips, free items, console game walkthroughs, stamp guides, coin codes, and a still incomplete archive of Club Penguin’s history.

10 years ago I had started out with my own blog which is now a mess, then moved on to another one which is also a mess until Spencer (Fosters1537) kindly offered me to help out on this blog. We became good friends since then and sent a lot of emails to each other coming up with exciting plans for the blog. Meanwhile we had made new friends also with their own cheat blogs namely PerPear, Mixturey101 and Legoless and others of which I’m still in contact with to this day. I have lot of good memories I will forever cherish on this blog. Like staying up till late waiting for the weekly game updates to come, update this blog and then get kind comments from the community!

Almost a decade later though, our interest died out and after some years so did the game itself. Today PenguinVille with almost 300,00 views and over 1,000 posts bids farewell to Club Penguin. Yet its purpose is not gone. Instead, it has changed. Once a place on the Internet where thousands of fans of Club Penguin meet and help each other take most of the game now becomes a place of nostalgia with memories from the now defunct game that fans can come look back to any time.

With great pleasure I am glad to say that Spencer and I are going well. We are both reading a degree in Computer Science at different universities and still wish that despite our long distance between us we someday get to meet each other in real life. We both owe it to Club Penguin for boosting our interest in games and computers at a young age and eventually chose our career path to be in IT.

I would like to give a huge, huge thanks to the Club Penguin team for their hard work and dedication all these years. I also congratulate them and wish best of luck on their new journey, Club Penguin Island. Take this as one last Club Penguin cheat: go and download the new app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. They have done an incredible job at recapturing the magic of the virtual world we once loved while modernizing it for Club Penguin fans of the next generation.

Last and certainly not least: you. I would like to thank each and every visitor of PenguinVille for giving it a purpose by reading, following, commenting and liking our cheats. It has been a great honor to serve such an incredibly kind and talented community.

Club Penguin membership Page Gets An Overhaul

Club Penguin website has been receiving quite a lot of changes lately and the membership page in particular was changed for a lot of times. Yet again the Club Penguin membership page got an update with an update look of penguins and more information.

The first thing you’ll notice are the membership options  of 1 Moth, 6 Month or 12 Month being fixed at the top of the page even when scrolling. At the top of the page you can click on the pictures to get more information about membership benefits.

Below the membership benefits are what is coming to members only this month, kind of like what we had on the membership page on 2011, and like the Upcoming Events on the Club Penguin Times. I say this is the best new addition to the new page!

Next is the Gift cards and Membership cards section, here you can purchase them online or see where to buy them. Of course you can also activate your membership here by clicking on ‘Activate Now’ and enter your code on the gift/membership card.

Note when you click on ‘Activate Now’, you get new interesting dialog box where you can log in or create a new penguin. Why is it interesting? Check out the new penguin design at the right of the dialog box:

When you choose create a new penguin you get this dialog box. It’s a new way for parents to create a penguin for their child. Notice once again the new penguin design!

And that’s about it! What do you think of the new look of the membership page? I think I like it, especially the new section where it features what’s coming for members this month. We’ll update you when there are interesting updates to that section… who knows maybe we’ll get sneak peeks of what’s coming before they are announced like in 2011! 😀

Club Penguin Card Jitsu Shadow: Sneak Peek Power Card Spotted !

Card Jitsu Snow has finally launched two weeks ago together with new Dojo updates but there are still Card Jitsu rumors that haven’t come true yet. That’s right, I’m talking about Card Jitsu Shadow.

Though Card Jitsu Shadow was never confirmed, shadow-related ninja items have been in Club Penguin’s SWF database for a while. Yet they have never been released yet. Finally after the release of Card Jitsu Snow, penguins spotted new power cards which relate to the rumored Card Jitsu Shadow items.

TheChamagool9 from You Tube was lucky enough to get one of these leaked Card Jitsu Shadow related power cards and recorded a video of the power card action. Check it out:

Anyone can get these power cards by buying a set of Power Cards on the Martial Arts catalog, but you must be lucky to get one of the Card Jitsu Shadow power cards. So what do you think? Do you think Card Jitsu Shadow is real? If so, when do you think it’s coming?

My #1 strategy is communication. Sometimes I’ll flash a power card on the screen so that my teammates know that I’m waiting to use my power card for a combo. Also, if there are two snowmen within my range, I’ll move towards one of them so that my fellow ninjas know that they should attack the other one. However, the GREATEST key to communication is to know how far your teammates can move, how close they have to be to attack, and how hard they hit. NINJA VANISH!

School is coming to Club Penguin at Monsters University Takeover?

Fosters and I might have still been absent on our blog during the Club Penguin Summit which occurred last month, in which if you recall from other blogs leaked some information about upcoming parties and plans for the game.

If you remember, a sketch of a room was shown and you can assume it’s a sketch of a classroom. If you can’t remember, here’s a photo of it:

Not much has been revealed since then, but now that Monsters University Takeover party has been announced for this June, we can assume it is coming along with the party on June 27th. Not only that, but also Spike Hike hinted ‘new places’ to come this Summer.

Also, rumor has it that the ‘School’ will be a permanent room in Club Penguin. If that is true or not is yet unknown. If the School room is real, where do you think it will be located in Club Penguin? Let us know in the comments!

Club Penguin Monsters University Logo and Items Spoilers

There haven’t been any sneak peeks or leaked info of the upcoming Monsters University Takeover party ever since it was announced – until now. Mickman5 sent the attached picture to Trainman when he was at the EB Games store.

As you can see the picture has unreleased items including Mike and Scully items. Also, the photo also reveals the logo of the Monster University takeover party AND you can notice a penguin wearing an unreleased grey color! Check them out!

Rockhopper’s Quest 2012 Guide!

The Migrator’s been here for a week and the upgrade construction has finished and the ship is ready to get off shore! Are you ready to join Rockhopper’s Crew to travel to 3 different islands?

Head over to the Beach by clicking ‘Join the Crew!’ on the signs spread all over the island at the Town, Snow Forts and Plaza!

The Migrator is docked here at the Beach. Here you can also play Treasure Hunt temporarily placed here as the Captain Quarters room is closed for now.

Before you climb off the ship, be sure you picked the free Crew Cap item!

Once you climb abroad, Rockhopper welcomed you abroad with a dialogue.

    Avast me hearty! Welcome aboard the Migrator! Ye now can be a member of me crew! I be expecting ye to pull yer weight!

We be sailin’ for a dangerous place – Shipwreck Island.    Help me build a beacon there to keep sailors safe.

First we need supplies. Let’s get to work!    Raise the anchor and chart a course for Black Island Trading Post!

You’re now on the Migrator and once the anchors are off the ship starts sailing. You can now earn the Out at Sea stamp too.

Remember to hit the targets with snowballs to boost the ship and avoid icebergs with the big jackhammers at the front!

Eventually you’ll arrive to  Swashbuckler Trading Post. Climb off board and Rockhopper has more to say to you…

Yarr-harr-harr! We’ve docked at Swashbuckler Trading Post.

This be the place for beacon (picure of rope) buildin’ supplies.

We need plenty of building materials for the structuer of the beacon.

I hear there also be rare and interesting items for sale.

Look lively crew! We won’t be stayin’ long.

Get back before we cast off – or we might leave ye beind! Yarr har! Just kiddin’

If you’re a member you can buy pirate outfit from the catalog at the shop or click on the icon.

Don’t forget to pick up cargo above the Fish Dogs stand.. and you can wear an apron only and dance to earn the Snack Shack stamps!

Once you’ve picked up cargo and bought suits, climb aboard the Migrator again to set sail for Dinosaur Island!

YARR! Welcome to Dinosaur Island, crew! This be the best place to find glowing gems.

One of those would be PERFECT for a beacon. Find a gem (picture of gem) and bring it back.

Keep yer eyes open for any landlubber lizards lookin’ for trouble!

Though, if ye have the coins to spare, ye might find one to trade with…

If any of those dinosaurs wants to help out, bring ‘em along!

I could always use some prehistoric pirates in me crew.

You can walk to the shop or click on the icon for another catalog…

And don’t forget of course to get the Diamond in the cage. Don’t worry, its door opens and closed automatically without any harm 😛

And once you pick it up you get this note.

Climb aboard the Migrator for the last tip to Shipwreck Island.

As you climb down the ship Rockhopper has last things to say:

YAR-HAR! We made it! Crew, drop anchor and prepare to go ashore!

This be the place we’re look’ for Shipwreck Island!

Here be your orders – the supplies are unloaded, so let’s get building that beacon.

Once ye’ve done that, make sure it’s shining bright, and yer done!

I’ve never docked on this island before. I wonder if there be any secrets hidden here…

Once the beacon be built (pic of completed beacon) take a look around for treasure.

Now click on the un-built beacon at the top right, and after 5 clicks the beacon is done!

And you earn the Shipwreck Beacon pin!

Members can get into the Hall of the Viking Lords. There you can find 2 free items: the Viking Lord Armor and the Viking Lord Helmet.
