It’s very exciting that you’re making an app. But I have one question to say: What’s an app??? I have no clue what it is!!!

Billybob said:It’s a game or application for a mobile device, like an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad.
Amy72088 said I think the app will be maybe a clubpenguin game of some sort. Or maybe just the actual clubpenguin?! ;)BYE
Billybobsaid:It will be a game of some sort… What game do you think it will be?

It looks like the Club Penguin mini-game app will not be free but 99cents only. He did mention apps are for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad but no mention of Android yet. But there were 2 comments about Android one is:

Club Penguin App coming soon!

It’s official, there has been lots of rumors including the apps being mentioned in a Portuguese magazine that a Puffle Launch app and Card Jitsu app will be out and Billybob announces the Club Penguin apps ARE coming out soon!

Hello Penguins!

Over the past few months, we’ve heard some rumors, and many of you have asked if we’re making a mobile app… Guess what?

We’re excited to announce that we’re just about finished our very FIRST Club Penguin app!

blog_110830.jpgWe can’t say too much just yet, but we’ll have more info for you in the next few weeks.

So what do you think our first app will be? Let us know your best guess in the comments below!

Until then… Waddle On!

-Club Penguin Team

Notice that it looks like it’s not a mobile app where you play Club Penguin online but there will be a number of Club Penguin apps to play different games. Will they be for free? We don’t know. Will the apps be for Android too? We don’t know but we hope so. We don’t even know the name of the first app either so stay tuned as more news about these apps will be shared here!

Chill and Fun at Herbert’s Lair

Now that you have completed Operation: Hibernation it’s good to have some fun on Club Penguin sometimes. Especially when you’re chillin with your friends! Here’s what I did.

Try this, throw a snowball at Herbert! Try this before you put up Mini-AC 3000 and he stops snoring, mutters and go on snoring again.

Let’s take a look around what Herbert has in his lair. Hey look remember this Drill machine which caused an Earthquake in PSA Mission 4?

Hey check out Herbert’s camera screens of rooms all over Club Penguin! Nice multi-screen PC he’s got there.

Or maybe water a cactus, no wait cactus don’t really need water! Ah nevermind.

Hey let’s imitate Herbert! Go at the back of Herbert and say stuff that Herbert might look like he is saying … or muttering in the middle of his sleep.

Or maybe he’s dreaming about pizzas.

Enough plays. Let’s -try to- wake up Herbert from his long sleep!

Drilling won’t work… maybe make some noise? Whistle? Bell? Famous fart sound (press ET)

Well, it seems like it’s all for nothing. But we did have fun eh? xD Now let’s do something useful: help other EPF agents, maybe new ones, to complete Operation: Hibernation.

Club Penguin Field Op 48 and Operation Hibernation

EPF Agents though we haven’t had a Field Op for a while, thsi one is important and followed by an important operation.

Your Spy Phone should be ringing, answer your call, and click on Go There!

Report to the Field Ops screen at the right.

Accept Field-Op and go to the Toughest Mountain (entrance from Ski Village) where the Great Snow Race is going on. Pass through the Icicles Cave and Base Camp and you’re at the middle of the mountain. Instead of going to the top, hey there’s an EPF Only sign! Go over there!

Now walk over near the antenna and your Spy Phone should be ringing. Click on it.

And click Engage then play the puzzle!

Once you’ve finished you earn a Medal and get this message from Gary.

Remember by completing Field Ops, you get medals that you can redeem for Elite Gears! And maybe earn some stamps too! Also if you completed all the previous field ops this should be your 50th Field Op and earn this stamp! Sweet!

Congratulations. But that is only the first part, the Field-Op is done and now to Operation Hibernation.

Lets’s start by taking that free item EPF Agents only!

Cool! Infrared Tracking Helmet! And it’s also for non-members so they can join the operation too! Now walk down and follow the polar bear paw prints.

You’ve got a message from Gary!

Remember to wear your new Infrared Tracking Helmet or you won’t see the lasers coming and get caught! Try to pass though all lasers slowly one by one or you’ll get caught. Then climb down the ladder.

Climb down the ladder and you see another Laser Room! There are more tricky! Try to pass them and get to the Expedition Key.

Now t

And you’ve found… another laser maze. But this is the last one yet hardest and try to get to the sealed door slowly. Once you get through you’ll get another message from Gary but you’ll hear lots of noises because the security system went off!

Throw snowballs at the 3 fuses and security system will turn off.

Gary send in another message.

Here are the parts of Mini-AC 3000.

Click on them and put them in order to be put like this.

Well Done! You’ve captured Herbert! You earned a Mini-AC 3000 pin.

And one last message form Gary with some good news.

Herbert is now in deep hibernation with that Mini-AC 3000 for up to 10 months! We have enough time to see what we can do with him.

Click on Done but oh no! Klutsy woke up, went through Mini-AC 3000 and escaped! What do you think will happen next?

But anyway let’s celebrate that we completed the operation and have some fun at Herbert’s Lair ! And joke around like…

Hahah! 😆 Congratulations EPF Agent, we’ll let you know what happens next and what you can do at Hebert’s Lair too!

New Polar Paw Print Pin!

It’s 2 weeks since last pin, that means bye last pin and hello new pin!

This week’s new pin is Polar Paw Print and is at the Pool Cave (go to Plaza and go down the underground hole).

Walk near it and click Yes, now you’ve got the pin!

Looks like Herbert the Polar Bear left a mark at the Underground Pool! 😆 The pin fits on your player card at the time we’re trying to capture Herbert, eh?

Club Penguin Newspaper Issue 305 and Director Secret Message!

Club Penguin Times Issue 305 is here with some cool news about Great Snow Race which started August 25. Penguins are racing down the Toughest Mountain with their sleds as thsi is the longest sled race ever!

Also Flash News reminds that Great Snow Race also has a limited time stamp! The Mountaineer stamp for all penguins who climbed the Toughest Mountain, Stunt Penguins for those EPF Agents who complete Operation Hibernation and Snowboarder for members who try the Snowboard trick (wear only snowboard and dance by pressing D and you are showing off your snowboard!).

Also Rookie tries to make announcement even though Jet Pack Guy gave him a script, he messed up and revealed Operation: Hibernation name. Oh silly Rookie.

But here’s the secret message: click on the Antenna dot (where my mouse cursor is market above) and you’ll see this message.

The Director is requiring agents to respond to their Field Op announcement on SPy Phones and take part of Operation: Hibernation. Don’t worry if you can’t managed and complete them we have guides how tot complete them here. 😉

Also Aunt Arctic answers a question about a certain polar bear and says clearly that there is a polar bear in Club Penguin.

And the upcoming Events clearly shows The Fair is coming next September. But before that it’s Pay Day in September 1! Yay, coins!

New Chat System in Club Penguin Test Server on Beta Team

Exciting news for those penguins at Beta Team! Club Penguin team just added 2 new tests and one of them are quite a few test servers! Here’s a post form Billybob.

Hello Penguins!

In our developer’s update last week, we mentioned that there would be some new stuff launching on Beta Team. We also said there’d be something a little different to test… We need your help to test out a brand new improvement to the chat system!

We’ve heard that some of you find it hard to chat with friends because of the filters. You asked if we could make it easier to chat with your buddies online.

You asked… and we listened! We’ve made some big improvements for you:

•     Now you’ll see suggested words above the chat bar as you write sentences!
•     You can click the words that appear, and the system will automatically complete the word for you. Now you’ll be able to chat way quicker than before!
•     Tons more phrases than Ultimate Safe Chat… Over 300,000 phrases!

We want your help to test the chat system improvement before we release it on Club Penguin. Let us know what bugs or issues you find by submitting a comment in Beta Team. Remember that it’s a test site, so things may not work the same way that you’re used to (i.e. games, items, newspaper)

You can test the new chat system on Beta Team starting today! Can’t wait to hear what you think.

Until then… Waddle On and Happy Testing!

-Club Penguin Team

There hasn’t been a test server for Club Penguin community since CPIP (CLub Penguin Improvement Project) in 2008. This one doesn’t have a big testing to do. It’s got a new improved chat system. With new SpeedChats and  suggesting words you type! It’s pretty cool both for slow typers and fast ones and

How to get to Club Penguin test servers?

Simply log in to the Beta Team at authorized.clubpenguin.com and type ‘ls’ and press Enter. Click on Test Server.

Log in to Club Penguin as usual! Here are some new Speed Chats…

And most important the Type Chat system with suggested words…

Good for slow typers and even fast typers and if you don’t know what to type it suggests you what to type! 😆 It’s a good feature as it is based on what all penguins mostly say in that part of phrase – in other words like Google suggestions.

So would you pass this new chat system feature to the Club Penguin game?

Note: The test servers are mostly empty, there are no newspaper, games, catalogs and parties. As it is of course only to test chat.

Puffle Pop at Club Penguin Beta Team

Apart from the test servers to test the new chat system feature, there’s also a new game to test at Club Penguin beta team: Puffle Pop! It’s basically your classic game of throwing balls to balls with same colors to pop them and if you clear them all you win. The difference is: it’s with Puffles!

When you start you get to choose from 3, Tutorial, Story and Survival. Unfortunately all 3 are the same for now as they are only tests but if the testing goes well and the game is approved to appear in Club Penguin I’m sure there will be Tutorial, Story and Survival modes.

What do you think of it? Even though I played lots of games like this I still thsi this kind of game. I wonder what Story mode would/will be like eh?

More Director EPF Messages!

Operation Hibernation is an unknown number of hours away, here’s Director’s last information of a couple of days ago about Operation Hibernation coming August 25:

Again the information isn’t new but it looks like Club Penguin team doesn’t want anyone to miss the chance to participate in Operation Hibernation (altough unfortunatley I do have my doubts if non-members can help out). It looks like that’s all as of EPF messages for some time. Check back as much as possible because once Great Snow Race together with Operation Hibernation
